Michael offers legal expertise for property developers, companies and individuals, specialising in the purchase and sale of residential property and complex commercial property transactions, including the acquisition and development of commercial sites. He offers a depth of experience, especially when dealing with agricultural land matters, such as the sale and purchase of estates and the preparation and renewal of option agreements over agricultural land. Michael also specialises in lease renewals, dilapidation claims, equity release schemes and the preparation of option agreements. Recent cases, for example, include the preparation of new leases for a warehouse in London, refinancing a portfolio of residential property investments, and the purchase and development of a specialist hospital in central London. Professional qualifications Michael joined Belmont & Lowe in 1983 after finishing his training at another City firm. He specialised in property once he qualified, and became a partner in 1985. When not in the office When not in the office, Michael has a busy family life and loves to sneak in the pursuit of one of the many sports he enjoys. He even manages to take to the fairway to fit in a round of golf when he can. He also has green fingers and loves to tend his garden.
