John Wood

Having previously been a partner at his own firm in Bloomsbury, John now acts as a consultant for Belmont & Lowe, where he has been providing impeccable advice for the firm’s clients for the past 10 years.

John has established a successful consultancy practice within the firm, specialising in commercial and domestic matters, including the sale and purchase of commercial property, lease extensions, the purchase of agricultural land and property, and advising on compromise agreements for large banking institutions. He also advises on employment law and is often consulted by the property and corporate & commercial arms of the firm.

The key to John’s success is his dedication to serving his clients. They value his calm, level-headed manner and thorough approach to his cases and trust him completely with any advice they require. He, in turn, enjoys solving their problems.

The majority of John’s clients are long-standing ones with whom he has forged a close working relationship, many of whom he now regards as friends. In short, he is loyal to his clients and they are loyal to him.

Professional qualifications and memberships

John studied Law at King’s College, London, after deciding that his interest in public affairs and business would make him a good fit for a career in the law.

John is a member of the Law Society and a conveyancing society.

When not in the office

John loves to paint and draw, and enjoys sailing in Orford, Suffolk, where he keeps his own boat. He is also passionate about the theatre, and attends the latest performances as often as he can.
